Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the way a company contributes positively to sustainable development challenges.

As the leading airline and the fourth largest company in Corsica with over 700 employees, Air Corsica is taking its sustainable development and CSR policy to a new level.

Environmental performance, a dynamic employer brand (employee training, career development, etc.), strong ties with the local community, and close relationships with our customers and suppliers: discover our strategy, actions, and projects, all deployed under the banner of "Ambizione 2025"!

Our CSR strategy

With "Ambizione 2025", Air Corsica’s CSR strategy is built around three pillars:

  • Strengthening and promoting shared values (identity, proximity, ethics, experience, performance, health and safety, trust, teamwork, etc.) in its daily work, internally and with its partners, as well as in the quality of service provided to its customers.

  • Improving the environmental performance of its activities: 70% fleet renewal and 16% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025, first French airline to implement on-board waste sorting on all its aircraft, investments in research and energy innovation, etc.

  • Amplifying its societal and territorial engagement with a focus on staff training, raising awareness among island youth about careers in the aviation sector, and promoting Air Corsica’s involvement in Corsica’s socio-cultural network through more than 200 associations and partners, etc.

Our values charter

The Values Charter helps to bring our employees closer together, based on shared, formalised and up-to-date values. A genuine company project, it serves to foster team cohesion.

Fleet renewal

The renewal of our fleet is a key lever in our strategy to improve our environmental performance. Our objective was to renew 70% of our fleet by 2025.

By 2024, we had already exceeded this target, with 85% of our fleet renewed. This result reflects our determination to make Air Corsica an airline at the forefront of the ecological transition in the aviation sector, while meeting our passengers' growing expectations in terms of sustainability..

Our supplier relations charter

All together, to meet the challenge of sustainable and responsible air service for Corsica!

As a Corsican airline, fulfilling a public service mission to serve the island, Air Corsica is a key player in the island’s economy.

Our economic and environmental dynamism, our commitment to employment, inclusion, and diversity draw their strength from a strong territorial anchoring.

Our solid network of partners, suppliers, and subcontractors attests to this.

With the Supplier Relations Charter, Air Corsica formalizes shared values: professionalism and ethics, responsible financial relations, trust and collaborative work, territorial anchoring and social responsibility, environment, health, and safety.

Preamble

Like many industrial sectors, the aviation industry is undergoing significant transformations, driven by the combined effects of ecological transition and sustainable development challenges.

As a Corsican airline, fulfilling a public service mission to serve the island, Air Corsica is a key player in the island’s economy.

Our economic and environmental dynamism, our creativity, our commitment to employment, inclusion, and diversity, draw their strength from strong territorial roots and the establishment of a solid network of partners, suppliers, and subcontractors. Air Corsica wishes to further formalize its commitment to sustainable development with the Supplier Relations Charter.

This Charter, to which all our partners, suppliers, and subcontractors adhere, symbolizes a culture founded on shared values: professionalism and ethics, responsible financial relations, trust and collaborative work, territorial anchoring and social responsibility, environment, health, and safety.

All together, to meet the challenge of sustainable and responsible air service for Corsica!

Professionalism

Air Corsica develops with its suppliers and subcontractors a working relationship in accordance with:

  • Labor law standards (working hours, social conditions, level of remuneration, etc.);

  • Applicable regulations regarding competition and prohibition of corruption in commercial transactions.

This relationship is guided by principles of professional honesty, impartiality, loyalty, and transparency.

Financial Ethics

Establishing a lasting trust relationship with suppliers and subcontractors also means respecting legal payment deadlines and ensuring smooth payment processes. Responsible financial relations also stem from transparent and trustful dialogue between the Company and its suppliers and subcontractors.

Trust and Collaborative Work

Air Corsica’s management and teams promote a collaborative working approach with suppliers and subcontractors.

For an optimized working relationship, all must adopt a common code of conduct: team spirit, valuing and recognizing each person’s skills, respect for behavioral norms.

Transversality and cooperation drive daily work, making Air Corsica, its suppliers, and subcontractors true partners.

Territorial Anchoring and Social Responsibility

Within the framework of its public service mission, Air Corsica closely links the development of its activity to that of the Corsican socio-economic fabric and contributes to local job creation.

This dynamic includes genuine interest in employment accessibility and inclusion processes that suppliers and subcontractors may implement within their teams (disability, diversity, youth and senior employment).

Environment, Health and Safety

In line with its own sustainable development policy, Air Corsica ensures that its suppliers and subcontractors share its environmental concerns: recycling, reduction and compensation of CO2 emissions, waste management and sorting, raising staff awareness of good environmental practices on a daily basis.

Likewise, respect for hygiene and safety standards is central to the working methods of suppliers and subcontractors, as well as to their working relationship with Air Corsica.

Our non-financial performance statements

What is the Non-Financial Performance Statement (NFPS)?

Since August 1, 2017, the CSR report or reporting has been replaced by the Non-Financial Performance Statement, or non-financial reporting. The NFPS is a document through which a company measures its environmental, social, and societal performance beyond a purely economic and financial evaluation.

This change follows the transposition of the European Directive No. 2014/95/EU under the order dated July 19, 2017. With this new framework, Air Corsica falls within the scope of companies required to issue a Non-Financial Performance Statement.

Discover our challenges and actions

Created to ensure Corsica a form of control over its air service, the "Air Corsica adventure" draws its strength from its territorial roots.

Our awareness of our contribution to territorial development is closely linked to an increasingly virtuous environmental policy over the years. Our NFPS is the formal reflection of our environmental, social, and societal commitment.

In the 2021 edition of our NFPS, find in particular:

  • key figures of Air Corsica’s activity;

  • an overview of our sustainable development strategy, "Ambizione 2025";

  • our challenges and actions to meet them: from lasting relationships with our customers, our commitment to environmental protection, to the development of our employer brand and our contribution to the values of Corsican society.
