Health and vaccinations

Some basic precautions must be taken before your trip to avoid any inconvenience during your flight and to protect you once you arrive in a place with infectious or parasitic diseases. Get advice from Air Corsica and leave with peace of mind and return healthy!

Vaccines

Certain vaccines are recommended depending on your destination, take advice from your treating physician. Some vaccinations require several injections. These must be considered well in advance and are not to be foregone due to lack of time. You may need to have additional injections during the trip (depending on the level of health and sanitation of the country visited) and even upon your return. If you have been vaccinated during your childhood, a simple booster will suffice. In all cases, ask your medical practice or your treating physician.

Health

If you are receiving medical treatment, remember to take sufficient medication and your prescriptions with you. Keep them with you in the cabin if your treatment necessitates this. In the event of illnesses requiring liquid medication during the flight, provide a prescription from the doctor detailing the explicit name of the drug used.

Advice for diabetics

The French Association for Diabetics  has produced a guide in partnership with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and Paris Airports. Its aim is to reconcile the demands of aviation security while still preserving the quality of life of travellers affected with diabetes. Diabetics are asked many questions before boarding, to avoid disruption of treatment : what certificates should be carried ? How much insulin am I allowed to carry with me ? What do I do with my insulin pump when passing through security? All answers to these questions can be found in the guide “ Diabetes and Airports  ”.
