Airport Calvi

Situated only eight kilometers away from the city, the airport of Calvi Sainte Catherine is the gateway for Balagne, in the North-East of Corsica. From there, the access is easy to the inmissable villages such as Lumio, Calenzana, Galeria and also Ile Rousse. You have several options to leave the airport. Hiring a car is easy and you may benefit from the Drive+ option thanks to Air Corsica and its partnership with Hertz, or take advantage of the many car hire companies represented at the airport : Europcar, Avis, Citer. You may also take the shuttle « les beaux voyages » or « autocars Mariani ». Note that taxis are available in front of the arrivals hall of the airport.

In that case when you may need information, please note that the information and reception desk  is located in the central hall of the air terminal, and is available from the first to the last flight. Here, many informationof any type concerning mainly flight schedule of departure and return flights, and also a summary of the services available in the airport, such as lost and found, nursery or first aid.

The Airport of Calvi  Sainte Catherine has a car park with 200parking spaces with security camera. Tarrifs range from 1.50 to 4 Euros for one day over time. Every extra day costs 4 Euros.

Of course there are other means of travelling around in town, but the geography of the island makes certain tourist spots more difficult to access without a car. From the airport, it is less than five kilometres to the city centre, but if you would like to be able to see other unmissable places on the Beautiful Island, such as the Calanche de Piana or Scandola Nature Reserve, you will need to travel about 70 km.

There are just so many opportunities to explore the exceptional panorama of one of the most beautiful gulfs in Corsica !

To be visited not far from there : the small town of Ile-Rousse and surrounding villages (Lumio, Monticello, Santa Reparata, etc.) as well as the famous “ Agriates desert ”, the only European desert of our time.
