Article 14 - Use of "cookies"

What are Cookies?

A Cookie is a small text file stored in a specific place on your device's hard drive using your browser software when you view an online service. It enables the site issuing the Cookie to identify the terminal onto which it was stored, as long as the Cookie is valid or stored.

When viewing our website, information relating to the browsing by your terminal (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) may be recorded in "Cookies" installed on your device, depending on the preferences you have selected and which you can change at any time.

Cookies do not generate or transmit viruses.

14.1. Who can use the Cookies issued on our website?

Only the site issuing a Cookie can read or amend the information contained in that Cookie. Cookies may be included in the advertising space on our websites. These advertising spaces display advertising content on your devices coming from advertisers. These spaces contribute to the financing of the content and services we provide you with.

  • The Cookies we issue allow us:

• to produce statistics and volumes on the frequency and use of the various sections making up our websites (sections and content visited, trails), enabling us to improve the interest and ergonomics of our services;

• to record the total number of adverts displayed by us in our advertising space, to identify these adverts, the number of times each was displayed, the number of users who have clicked on each advert and, if applicable, the subsequent actions carried out by these users on the pages to which these adverts lead, in order to calculate the amounts due to those participating in the advertising distribution channel (communications agency, advertising network, distribution site/medium) and to produce statistics;

• to adapt the presentation of our website to your terminal's display preferences (language used, display resolution, operating system used, etc.) when you visit our websites, depending on the hardware and viewing or reading software on your terminal;

• to adapt our advertising space to your terminal's display preferences (language used, display resolution, operating system used, etc.), depending on the hardware and viewing or reading software on your terminal;

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal by our advertising space, depending on how your terminal browses our sites;

• to memorise the information relative to a form you have filled in on our websites (registration or access to your account or authentication to access one of our Group's services) or on the products, services or information which you have selected on our websites (service signed up to, content of an order basket, etc.);

• to enable you to access reserved and personal areas on our websites, such as your account, using log-ins or data which you may have provided us with previously;

• to implement security measures, for example, when you are asked to log in again to content or a service after a certain period of time has elapsed.

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal in our advertising space in relation to the personal data you have provided to us;

  • The Cookies issued on our websites by third parties

The issue and use of Cookies by third parties are subject to these third parties' privacy protection policies. We will notify you of the subject of the Cookies we are aware of and of the options available to you with regard to these Cookies.

(a) by third party applications integrated within our sites

On our sites, we may include third party IT applications enabling you to share the content of our sites with other people or to let other people know what you are looking at or your opinion about the content on our sites. This specifically applies to the "Share" and "Like" buttons on social networks such as "Facebook", "Twitter", etc. The social network providing such an application button may be able to identify you through this button, even if you have not used this button when viewing our websites. In effect, this type of button may enable the social network in question to follow you when you are browsing our websites, solely because your account with the social network in question was active on your terminal (open session) when you were browsing our website. We have no control over the process used by social networks to collect information (personal data) relating to you browsing our website. We invite you to view these social networks' privacy protection policies to obtain information about the purposes, in particular advertising, that the browser information that they are able to gather through these application buttons will be used for. These protection policies must specifically allow you to exercise your preferences with these social networks, in particular by configuring your accounts for the use of each of these networks.

(b) By third party content disseminated in our advertising space

The advertising content (graphics, animations, videos, etc.) disseminated in our advertising space may contain Cookies issued by third parties: either the advertiser at the source of the advertising content in question, or a third party company working on behalf of the advertiser (communications consultancy, audience tracking company, targeted advertising provider, etc.), which has linked a Cookie to an advertiser's advertising content. Where applicable, the Cookies issued by these third parties may enable them, while these Cookies are valid:

• to record the amount of times advertising content is displayed via our advertising space, to identify the advertising thus displayed and the number of users having clicked on each advert, enabling them to calculate the sums due as a result and to produce statistics;

• to recognise your terminal when you browse any other site or service on which these advertisers also issue Cookies and, where appropriate, to adapt these third party sites and services or the advertisements they show, to your terminal's browser which they may be aware of;

(c) By an external advertising network operating our advertising space

The advertising space on our sites may be operated by one or more external advertising network(s) and, where applicable, contain Cookies issued by them. Where applicable, the Cookies issued by these external advertising networks may enable them, while these Cookies are valid:

• to record the total number of adverts displayed by them in our advertising space, to identify these adverts, the number of times each was displayed, the number of users who have clicked on each advert and, if applicable, the subsequent actions carried out by these users on the pages to which these adverts lead, in order to calculate the amounts due to those participating in the advertising distribution channel (communications agency, advertising network, distribution site/medium) and to produce statistics;

• to adapt the advertising space they operate to your terminal's display preferences (language used, display resolution, operating system used, etc.) when you visit our websites, depending on the hardware and viewing or reading software on your terminal;

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal via our advertising space, depending on how your terminal browses our sites;

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal via our advertising space, depending on how your terminal previously or subsequently browsed third party sites in which the network in question also issues Cookies, subject to these Cookies having been placed on your terminal in accordance with the preferences you have selected with regard to this network.

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal via our advertising space in relation to the location data (longitude and latitude) transmitted by your terminal with your prior agreement

• to adapt the advertising content displayed on your terminal in our advertising space in relation to the personal data you may have provided to this advertising network;

14.2. What is the purpose of seeing adverts adapted to your browsing habits?

Our objective is to show you the adverts which are the most relevant to you. To do this, cookie technology enables us to determine in real time what advertising to display on a terminal, in relation to its recent browsing on one or more sites or applications. Your interest in the advertising content displayed on your terminal when you view a website often determines that website's advertising resources which are provided to users free of charge. You can opt to see advertising that is of interest to you rather than adverts you are not interested in. In the same way, advertisers wanting their adverts to be disseminated have an interest in their offers being displayed to users who are most likely to be interested in them.

14.3. Personal information and browsing data

We may adapt offers and advertising aimed at you to the information relating to how your terminal has browsed our website or the sites or services published by third parties and on which we issue Cookies.

If you have provided personal information about yourself, in particular your electronic details, when you registered or accessed one of our services, we may, subject to the preferences you have selected and which we comply with rigorously, link the browsing data relating to your terminal, processed by the Cookies issued by us, with your personal information in order to send you, for example, electronic offers or to display, within the advertising space, personalised adverts which may be of interest to you.

You may request at any time to no longer receive adverts or offers adapted to your terminal's browsing history, by contacting us directly and free of charge, or through the unsubscribe link included in any offer which we may send to you by email. Where appropriate, unless you have exercised your right of objection with us, you may continue to receive advertising which will no longer be adapted to your terminal's browsing habits.

Furthermore, should we consider obtaining your terminal's browsing habits from a third party (targeted advertising provider, advertising network, etc.) which we may link with the personal information which you have provided to us, we will ask for your specific agreement beforehand before we link information in this way and send you the advertising or offers which may result therefrom.

Your specific agreement may, where appropriate, consist of ticking a box provided on our services for which you have registered, such as "I wish to see or receive adverts adapted to my browsing habits recorded by partners of [data controller]".

14.4. Your preferences concerning Cookies

You have several options to manage Cookies. Any settings which you are able to set may change your web browsing and your conditions for accessing certain services requiring the use of Cookies. You can set your preferences at any time by expressing and changing your wishes in respect of Cookies, using the methods described below.

(a) The agreement on Cookies

Placing a Cookie on a terminal is essentially subject to the wishes of the terminal's user, who may express and change the preferences offered by their browsing software at any time and at no cost. If you have agreed in your browsing software for Cookies to be placed on your terminal, the Cookies included in the pages and content which you have viewed may be stored temporarily in a specific place on your terminal. They can only be read on there by their issuer.

(b) Refusal to accept Cookies

If you refuse to accept Cookies being placed on your terminal, or if you delete those which have been placed there, you may no longer be able to benefit from a certain number of features which are nevertheless necessary to be able to browse certain areas of our website. This will be the case if you try to access our content or services which require you to identify yourself. This will also be the case when we - or our service providers - cannot recognise, for technical compatibility purposes, the type of browser used by your terminal, its language and display settings or the country from which your terminal appears to be connected to the Internet. Where applicable, we accept no liability for the consequences associated with the degraded functioning of our services due to it being impossible for us to store or view the Cookies needed for their operation and which you have refused or deleted.

(c) How do you exercise your preferences, depending on the browser you use?

For the management of Cookies and your preferences, each browser is configured in a different way. This is described in your browser's help menu, which will tell you how to change your preferences in respect of Cookies.

(d) Your preferences expressed online with interprofessional platforms

You can connect to the website Youronlinechoices, offered by digital advertising professionals brought together within the European association EDAA (European Digital Advertising Alliance) and managed in France by the Interactive Advertising Bureau France.

You will then be able to see the companies registered with this platform and which are offering you the option to refuse or accept the Cookies used by these companies to adapt the adverts which may be displayed on your terminal to your browsing history: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/fr/controler-ses-cookies/.

This European platform is shared by hundreds of web-advertising professionals and forms a centralised interface allowing you to express your refusal or your acceptance of Cookies which may be used to adapt the adverts which may be displayed to your terminal's browsing habits. Please note that this procedure will not prevent the display of adverts on the websites which you visit. It will only block technologies which enable adverts to be adapted to your areas of interest

Article 15 - Encryption

15.1. Encryption of transactions

To make an online purchase, you need to use your bank card. We offer you a secure online payment system using the latest available technologies, and in particular the SSL data exchange protocol. The software on the SSL server uses algorithms to encode (or "encrypt") the information you have entered (bank details, address, etc.) before sending it via the internet to our server. Once encoded, the information remains scrambled while being sent over the web and can only be read by our server, with a decryption key which is unique. SSL encryption keys enable the coding to be obtained and offer the highest level of encryption currently in use. You can therefore be sure of purchasing your ticket securely and in complete confidentiality.

15.2. General information

When you create an account, you choose a log-in and a password which you will be asked for to change the information relating to this account. Your profile and your data are protected by this password so that you are the only person authorised to access this personal information. We recommend that you do not disclose this information to anyone else. Therefore, you are responsible for keeping your passwords and/or any information relating to your profile created on our website confidential.

Do not forget to log out of your profile and to close your browser window at the end of your session, especially if you use a workstation shared with others for access to the internet. You will then avoid other users accessing your personal information.

Article 16 - Applicable Law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are subject to French law.
